Had absolutely fabulous week in the Garden Flat, could not have asked for anything else. Delicious food at St Mortiz, Bailey's and Ithaca, would recommend.

Steve Tedstone ,

A lovely warm and comfortable flat within a short walk to the Opera House and Pavilion gardens plus shops and restaurants close by."

It was nice to be in the middle of Buxton but have a private parking place right outside the flat. Although it would also be perfect for anyone without a car as the railway station and bus stops are only a few minutes from the flat. We enjoyed the wine and snacks left for us by the owner who also emailed clear instructions on how to find the flat.

Tina ,

We spent a really lovely week in the Garden Flat even if the weather did throw everything at us."

We had lovely sunshine, torrential rain and sleet and hailstones!!! We were very comfortable and found everything we needed. We slept very well indeed in a very comfortable bed. The flat is beautifully presented and Michelle has gone above and beyond to provide all you could want. An added bonus was having a private parking space at the property. Thank you for the welcome gifts, fresh flowers, wine and nibbles were much appreciated. We would recommend this flat to everyone.

Mavis and George ,

What a wonderful stay we just had at The Garden Flat In Buxton. The flat was cozy and warm. Incredibly clean with lovely fluffy towels and all linen was spotless.
There was so many lovely touches with a kind welcome message and lovely treats to enjoy. It had such a lovely homely feel to it.
What was amazing was the helpfulness of the owner Michelle. Her great advice on dinner locations and ideas in the local area.
Such a great stay and very much the perfect stay. Thanks you!

Christina Cawood,

Great flat, Buxton very nice; some lovely pubs (Sun Inn especially) with excellent beers and restaurants good; we really enjoyed our long weekend; the snow was a bonus. The flat was very clean and had everything we needed; treats very welcome; one of the better flats/cottages we’ve stayed in. You must try the Trading Post shop; best sausage rolls we’ve had n the Beef and Horseradish sausages; to die for

Mr Terry Stokes,

I don't usually write reviews but I thought the Garden Flat deserved some praise.
I stayed here a week with my daughter and was totally relaxed and comfortable the whole time. It's position close to the town was ideal as we often dined out for our evening meals.
The outdoor patio area looked inviting for meals alfresco, however the weather didn't allow us as November is not ideal.
Michelle is a brilliant host and has the flat furnished to a very high standard.
I found the king-sized bed very comfortable and the cottage had everything I needed for my stay.
The smart TV worked well and I even used my5 to catch up on some missed episodes of Dalgliesh.
Phone signal into the garden flat was just enough to make voice calls but not for internet use. However the broadband in the cottage was excellent with good fast speeds.
I made use of the thoughtfully provided wine, tea, coffee, sugar, and biscuits.
All super clean and nothing seemed too much trouble to ask of this excellent host.
I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it.

Mr Alan Hunter,

This was my third visit to the Garden Flat, which should say a lot! It is well-situated, well-equipped and well-maintained. The owner provides plenty of extras which make the visit even more enjoyable such as throws in the sitting room for snuggling up on chilly nights.

Mrs Jennifer Clare,

Fantastic flat, with high quality fittings and really comfortable. Lovely and warm & plenty of hot water. I use crutches and managed here perfectly well. A few steps down to the flat with handrail to use. Buxton is hilly and to get from the nearest food establishments it is uphill.

Mrs Yvonne Rowley,

Really cosy comfortable cottage, well-equipped kitchen and loads of little extras such as fresh flowers, wine and biscuits. Very spacious bathroom and a great location - handy for walking into Buxton or driving to nearby attractions.

Dr Hazel Baker,

A delightful well equipped apartment close to the centre of Buxton and the railway station but in a quiet location. There are Waitrose and Aldi supermarkets a few minutes walk away. Off road parking is very convenient, being just in front of the apartment.
The apartment is spotlessly clean, with modern bathroom and comfortable beds. The owner has provided a range of helpful tourist information, as well as a range of books and dvds.
There are buses nearby that run to Derby via Bakewell and Matlock and a train that runs to Manchester. The apartment provides an excellent base for exploring the area including further a field, Manchester and Chester.

Mr Rodney Brooks,

I have stayed at several cottages over the past years. this one ranks near the top. clean comfortable handy to town but tops was the helpfulness of the owner. thanks for a wonderful week

Mrs Christina Van Mesdag-mcgregor,

The Garden Flat is an amazing place to stay, our host Michelle left some lovely treats, bottle of wine and flower arrangements for us too, along with a lovely welcome message on the hall/dining table.
It is one of the nicest places we have stayed and the towels were luxurious and information re where to go and where to eat were very helpful and as Michelle says, always best to book in advance.
Thank you Michelle, from us both,
Lynne and Matt Lincoln

Matthew Smith,

Absolutely 1st class property.

Great location close to Palace Theatre. Having parking is an added bonus. Beautiful flat and facilities, everything has been thought of, including torches. The short walk from street to flat can be dark so I'd recommend taking the torch if out late. Once close to the entrance the lights do come on. Loved all the little extra touches. We've already recommended this place to friends and family.

Lian,

Absolutely fabulous !! Perfect position for walking into town, spotlessly clean, everything you could need and excellent quality, and the bonus of a parking space, couldn’t wish for a better place to stay. One of the best holiday let’s we’ve stayed in !!

Angela Sandell,

Our second stay at the lovely Garden Flat - everything perfect as in 2019.
Highly recommended by us!

Carol Bones,

Great flat and very well equipped. It's well hidden and super peaceful, plenty of games to keep the kids entertained on a rainy day. Buxton is nice and the main park was lovely, we only discovered it on our last day. Had a lovely few days and would certainly recommend. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Lisa Grant,

We had a great stay here, the flat is lovely and has been maintained to a very high level.
It has everything you need and the welcome treats of wine and biscuits were very much appreciated.
It is spotlessly clean and the whole place is so homely and welcoming.
We would definitely stay here again if we’re in the area and would thoroughly recommend it.

Sallie Hickey,

This was lovely cosy homely place to stay.
Central location for everything you needed or to visit all local areas.
The flat was extremely large not at all what I expected.
Beautiful property.
The photographs did not do it justice.
Very warm and welcoming.
Definetly stay there again.

Beverley Atherton,

Beautiful property all the home comforts.
Such a lovely gesture with the bottle of wine, very thoughtful. Ideally located
Highly recommended

Mrs Claire Clarke,

Excellent flat and location, minutes from town and all facilities (pubs, restaurants etc). Great place to explore Derbyshire. Had a lovely week in extremely comfortable flat with all mod coms of high standard. Thoroughly recommended.

Jeffrey Kirk,

The flat was lovely, exceptionally clean and a great location for exploring Buxton town centre. Michelle was a wonderfully thoughtful host, even sending us information about the storms to ensure we had a safe journey home. We had a mini break in February but the flat is a great location for a week or longer to explore the whole of the Peak District.

Kathryn Atkinson,

Had a fantastic little weekend in this beautiful garden flat. It was equipped with everything we needed, which was great!
The hosts were on hand and even left us some little personal gifts, which was a lovely touch!

Would absolutely stay again! Thank you.

Chad Faulkner,

Valarie Nash,

The Garden Flat is a very comfortable apartment in a convenient position just minutes from the Pavilion Gardens, Opera House, shops and restaurants- a perfect base to explore all that Buxton and the Peak District has to offer. We spent a wonderful week exploring the varied countryside by day and relaxing at the opera or over a good meal in the evenings. The outside seating area at the Garden Flat is a lovely space to enjoy outdoor eating and drinking too. We will be back!

Miss Adams ,

The Garden Flat is perfectly situated, close to the centre of Buxton but quiet and with off-street parking.
The flat was well furnished and equipped and scrupulously clean. Lots of information about the flat and Buxton and surroundings was provided, both before our stay and when we arrived. A welcome pack of a bottle of wine and home made fudge was waiting for us on arrival. As the weather wasn't great on our trip to Buxton, having a very comfortable place to stay was really appreciated. Highly recommended!

Mr Livingstone,

Thank you Michelle for such a lovely, welcoming stay! We loved the flat and greatly appreciated the loving care and thoughtful touches that you clearly put into it. We found the new sofas very comfortable, and such a beautiful colour too. Ida introduced herself and made regular visits which we enjoyed! We have been very fortunate with the weather and I hope we will be able to stay with you again on future visits to the lovely Peak District.

Neil Pike,

A wonderful flat, very clean and beautifully appointed. Lots of space, very comfortable bed and in an excellent location for all the local amenities.

Nicola Trafford,

Excellent accomodation. Very close to centre. Spotless, loads of sanitizer in kitchen and bathroom plus lots of Other instructions about how to keep covid safe. Bed linen and towels plus crockery of top quality. Would definitely recommend.

Mrs Ruth Lewis,

Second time here at this wonderfully appointed, semi secluded location only 5 mins from town centre and easy parking. Ideally situated for most Peak District attractions and walks. Owners promptly attentive to any small query
Very comfortable beds and cosy lounge. Nice welcome box and a visiting pet chicken called Ida - what more could you want, especially as an excellent Italian and superb French restaurants are 5 mins away and Buxton sports a Waitrose and Sainsbury’s as well good local butchers and bakers etc to cater for eating at “home”. Perfect place.

Mr Gerry Mcauley,

This was our second stay at The Garden Flat and we loved it just as much. Centrally located in a quiet road, you are near to everything. The flat is beautifully appointed with everything you could ask for. Buxton itself is a beautiful spa town which has so much to offer. A short car ride takes you to Chatsworth, Ashford in the water, Eyam, etc. We will be back!

Miss Katherine Araniello,

Lovely flat close to city center. Area is quiet and allows easy access to rest of the Peak District

Mr Hemant Mistry,

Wow - what a welcoming and delightful flat. Perfect for our family holiday break, really wish we could have stayed longer. The finishing touches are really on point, I really enjoyed the beautiful flowers (especially as i celebrated my birthday). The books and entertainment were perfectly selected for the age groups and the children loved them! I can't imagine what the extra's you couldn't include were but you made it extremely welcoming! You have done an incredible job to ensure the whole flat is exceptionally clean and very much anti covid. Highly recommended property - we would definitely visit again, your thoughtful touches made it into a very special treat. Thank you

Rob, Emma, Phoebe and Jack,

We had a fantastic stay in the Garden Flat. It was lovely to stay somewhere sparkly clean, comfortable and that had all the bit’s and pieces (and more) you would need whilst on holiday, even a picnic rug and cool bag to take to the park whilst listening to the music at the Bandstand.

We really appreciated the fresh flowers and the chocolates. You obviously care about people having a nice time at your property and act upon any feedback given, so everything is perfect.

I can’t think of anything we would change and we will definitely be back to Buxton (still lots to see and do) and the Garden Flat – I expect we would need to be quick though as I am sure everyone who stays would want to book again.

Finally, it was nice to be welcomed back each afternoon by the chicken (she is a great character) and her furry friends, great entertainment whilst enjoying cake and tea in the garden. They even came over just before we left to say goodbye! Think I’d quite like a pet chicken one day.

Mr and Mrs Barnett,

Pet chicken called Ida from nearby house comes around for scraps every evening around 6 o’clock. Eats out of hand and has numerous mentions in visitors comments book - usually accompanied by its friend, a soppy ginger cat
Owners extremely helpful and really went OTT assist with one very minor issue.
Great location for town, walking and some really good restaurants within 5 minutes walk.

Gerry Mcauley,

The garden flat was a great place to stay. It was very well laid out and clean and well equipped. We were very comfy and cosy and enjoyed all the extra touches - wine, biscuits coffee, flowers etc. etc. and 2 big comfortable beds were an added bonus. The owners really have thought of everything. The location was brilliant for both Buxton itself and the roads and station for exploring the area. Highly recommended.

Micheal Park,

Garden Flat is a spotless lower ground floor flat within a couple of minutes walk from the town centre of Buxton. Comfy beds, fluffy towels, spacious rooms and plenty of kitchen utensils. The owners obviously takes care of their property and ensures that your stay is comfortable - home from home. We would be happy to rent this property again as the location is ideal for exploring the Peak District.

Mrs Sharon Godsmark,

Once again, the Garden Flat ecxeeded all reasonable expectations. Accommodation is generously sized, interior design is stylish, contemporary, and practical, with no expense spared by the owner in her customary immaculate presentation of this exceptional property. Even the welcoming touches such as milk in the fridge, home-made cookies on the breakfast bar, and a complementary bottle of wine. Not to mention freshly cut flowers in each room. Michelle really takes great pride in this property, as well she might.
The Garden Flat is also perfectly placed for access to all the town's main amenities, being only a few hundred yards from the Opera House, shops, restaurants, and the Pavilion Gardens. It is equally convenient for access to trains, buses and taxis.
There is also excellent off-street private parking only a few yards from the door, but screened from the public domain, and visible from the apartment at all times.
This was our second visit, and we wil certainly be booking again before long!

Paul Dinsdale,

Thank you for another holiday in your Garden Flat. This accommodation is a real home from home everything we could wish for. The shops and other amenities are so close.
We will visit again.

Janet and Peter Gibbons,

The other reviews say it all really - this is a lovely place to stay. The flat is extremely comfortable - beds & sofas! We really liked the layout, there's enough room to have your own space if needed (there are 3 of us, 2 adults & a 10 yr old). We went in February, so it wasn't warm enough to have the French doors open, but we're looking forward to being able to do that when we come back in the summer. Excellent wi-fi, good phone signal (best in kitchen for Three). A proper fridge freezer instead of a little ice-box, bonus utility room, lots of personal touches such as lovely fresh flowers, decorative lights, homemade brownies, wine, butter & milk. It's in a quiet, lovely part of town, very close to the Devonshire Dome, (where we had a good value, tasty lunch). Train station close by, too.
Another plus is the website - clear, straightforward pricing structure - it's so much better being able to see the tariff before putting dates in, unlike some websites.
Thank you, Michelle - we're very much looking forward to coming back in the summer!

S Farrell,

The title sums it up perfectly "Luxury Ground Floor Garden Flat situated in the town of Buxton" everything you need and more, furnished to a very high standard throughout, easy access to many places of interest, many of which were visited despite the appalling weather! Would highly recommend.

Andrew Brooksbank,

We rent holiday property regularly so we are familiar with the standards of rental properties. This flat exceeds the best we have rented in every way it is a credit to the owner. This flat is the icing on the cake of a great break.

Mr Milnes,

What a fantastic property in a great location - just a few minutes walk away from all that Buxton has to offer. The property is superbly maintained, with a real attention to detail and felt like a real home from home. We really would recommend this property as a great base to explore all that the Peak District and beyond has to offer.

A Hurley,

Our 2nd visit to your beautiful flat this year, everything we needed in a very modern cosy setting. Lovely fresh flowers ,cakes, wine on arrival. Very comfortable beds we slept in most days.
