The Garden Flat offers superb, luxury, self catering accommodation with modern facilities and special touches throughout. It provides a comfortable base to explore the beautiful spa town of Buxton and its surrounding area. Whether you like the bustle of a small town with all it has to offer including Buxton Opera House and the magnificent Devonshire Dome, or you simply want to explore the Peak District National Park, the Garden Flat is the ideal place to stay. There are also many historic houses and gardens to visit including Chatsworth, Haddon Hall and Lyme Park. Furthermore, the market towns of Bakewell, Matlock and Leek are just a short drive away.
The property itself has been prepared to a high standard and we pride ourselves on a high level of cleanliness and the comfort of our beds and linen. On arrival you will be able to park directly in front of the property and after walking down a few steps you will be standing in a private courtyard area in which you can sit outside and enjoy a peaceful evening listening out for the pair of owls that reside nearby.
You will enter the kitchen which is fully equipped with everything you will need to have a relaxing stay including a dishwasher, microwave, breakfast bar where you can chat whilst preparing meals, an oven and a gas hob. A welcome pack will be waiting for you including wine, homemade cakes or biscuits, dishwasher tablets and a selection of teas and coffee.
The property has 2 good sized bedrooms and can sleep four people. All of the bed linen is good quality and we provide extra throws for those winter evenings (not that you need it as the heating is fantastic!). The rear main bedroom has a large king size bedstead and fitted wardrobes. There is also a small smart TV available in this room as well. The second bedroom has zip link beds which can be kept as 2 singles or joined to make a luxurious super-king bed.
There is 1 bathroom with a large walk in shower as well as a hand basin, toilet and tallboy storage unit on which you will find your Egyptian cotton towels.
The lounge offers a comfortable and relaxing sitting area with patio doors which open onto the front patio area. There is a HD smart television where you can access your Netflix or amazon prime if you wish, and a DVD player with a small selection of films for your use. There is also a small selection of books, maps and walking guides.
There is a dining area in the large rear hall and throughout the property you will find tasteful artwork created by local artists.
We have a utility room with a washing machine and a heated airer in case you need to keep on top of your laundry whilst you are away!
We are happy to have children at the property and you will find some books and a small box of toys to help keep them entertained. If you require a highchair or travel cot we can provide one on request.
The heating and electricity is included in the price and instant hot water is available at all times.
We have free wifi, but unfortunately we cannot allow pets at the property.
Just so you are aware, there is a small step down into the front bedroom and the lounge, the rest of the property is on one level. The main steps down to the property have a handrail.
